5/5 tasty tesco beautifully balanced frozen range

Frankly, I thought they were DELICIOUS. Usually I'm not a fan of ready meals - they're high in sugar, they never look appetising and they claim adding a pea means there's veg. Well, Tesco has brought out a range to challenge all of that.

The South Indian Curry I tried was packed full of veg and all of them crisp - usually you end up with mushy veg if microwaved but I was really impressed by the texture. I particularlly like the ready to go packs of rice with lots of interesting veg and flavours - the lime, quinoa and edamine was my favourite.
Pros
-Easy, quick, fast on the go dinners
 -Healthy!!!
-Ensure you get 1/2 portions of veg on the go
 -Tasty
-Wide Range of options even for the fussiest of eaters.

 Cons
-Not all supermarkets have the full range, might have to go hunting for your favourite.

For someone like me, who is always on the go, concerned about the amount of calories in food AND trying to live a healthy lifestyle - I am so impressed by the Beautifully Balanced Range by Tesco - I just hope they continue to develope more for me to eat!!
 5/5 Would reccommend

Tesco Beautifully Balanced Range

The new frozen range includes soups, sauces, superfood mixes, whole grain pasta dishes, meat dishes and more. With 1-2 portions of vegetables in every dish, it's an easy way to start living more healthy. 65% of UK shoppers (research by Insight at Tescos) say that their lifestyle isn't as healthy as they would like it to be.

Independent research has also shown that 2 out of 3 cases, frozen fruit and vegetables score better on antioxidant type compounds than fresh ones, so Tesco's new frozen range is better than your average ready meal in terms of nutrition.

I tried the Tesco Beautifully Balanced range for free courtesy of Tesco. I tested the South Indian Curry ready meal and Quinoa Lime Rice
Pros
*Frozen - easy, quick lunch or dinner option
*Frozen - no more food wastage, only use what you need and no more throwing away rotting 'fresh' fruit and veg
*Frozen - easily stored
*Texture - the meals I tried all had crunchy tasty vegetables- compared to other ready meals that tend to have mushy, soppy vegetables.
*Packed with vegetables - compared to other ready meals that count 1 pea and a slice of onion as veg.
*Wide variety and range to suit everyone and every taste from: soups, sauces, superfood mixes, whole grain pasta dishes, meat dishes and more.
*1-2 portions of vegetables in every dish, it's an easy way to start living more healthy.  *Good value for price - not the cheapest option in Tesco but not the most expensive. The price was great value for what you got
*Low Cal options - items all calories counted, easy to maintain your weight
*Very colourful
*VERY TASTY
*'Interesting' veg - you dont often get quinoa, edamine etc. in ready meals, I loved the variety of veg, beans and pulses.

Cons
*Might be too expensive for some budgets but I thought they were excellent value for money *Limited stock available in certain supermarkets - I would love to try and buy more from the range but unfortunately my local Tescos is limited.

Overall I REALLY enjoyed the ready meals and rice sides I tried, they were packed full of flavour and colour and it made a really enjoyable dining experience. Usually ready meals are bland, biege and boring but I am happy to say, Tesco's Beautifully Balanced range has converted me. I would buy again and reccommend.

Glasgow School of Art

A devastating day for Glasgow

For years at art school, we joked about how the Mack is such a tinderbox - the whole thing will go down in 15 seconds. I never thought it could ever happen. Absolutely devastating. I can't even put into words how painful these images are.
